Chad began experiencing pain dating back to 1994. The pain primarily originated in his Temporomandibular Joint, in addition to his Cervical and Lumbar spine. The moderate discomfort began in his junior year of high school. During this time, he was at sacker at the local grocery store and spent hours standing and lifting five days a week. Also an athlete, he excelled in baseball, whereby he had to practice 2-3 hours daily, which also meant wear and tear on his body. At this age, he felt pain often, but it was bearable.
Through college, Chad played baseball. This was beneficial because he was getting regular exercise and staying active. After graduation, he began working in the corporate world and was far less active due to his newfound work requirements. He spent hours behind a desk or the wheel in his role as a Sales Account manager.
By Chad’s mid to late 20s, his pain level had increased quite a bit, and the pain was now part of his daily life. He tried various home remedies for relief, but nothing seemed to work. By his early 30s, the pain was interfering so much in his daily life, and he decided to seek professional help. He saw specialist after specialist, but no one was able to diagnose the cause of his symptoms. Steroid injections and pain medications were recommended, but the relief was fleeting and nothing substantial. At this moment, Chad thought that he would have to endure this pain for the rest of his life.
Fortunately, one of the physicians he was seeing recommended him to see Dr. Nash since he is known for his success with innovated treatments for complex pain cases.
After a thorough evaluation with Dr. Nash, he diagnosed Chad with Chronic Myofascial Pain Syndrome. In short, this condition is where there is pressure on sensitive points in the Fascia (trigger points) that causes pain in the muscle and sometimes in seemingly unrelated parts of the body. This also caused chronic headaches and inflammation throughout his body.
For the first time in nearly a decade, Chad was highly encouraged that thanks to Dr. Nash the puzzle pieces started to come together. Chad was open to the feedback and the treatment plan designed by Dr. Nash. The treatment approach was multifaceted and included amniotic fluid injections, physical therapy, and biomechanical feedback. This was in addition to a change in medications and some minor lifestyle changes.
“I wish I had known about Dr. Nash earlier on my journey as he has provided for me a higher quality of life. His treatment plan has proven invaluable, and his bedside manner is impeccable. I trust his judgment 100%. Dr. Nash was able to isolate my situation and take a personal interest in my condition to help me finally find pain relief after all of these years. My experience with him far outweighs the sum of all other interactions with multiple specialists.” – Chad Roberts
As a Customer Development Manager for a Fortune 500 company, Chad manages a portfolio of approximately $15 – $20 MM. This often requires long hours and complex challenges, whereby it is not uncommon to put in 12 hour days. Thanks to Dr. Nash, Chad is now able to say that he can work and get through these long days with substantially reduced pain levels. After over a decade and several specialists that we’re unable to help him, Chad is now back to enjoying his life pain-free!
